Back in the year 2015, General Santos proposed the revamping of its International Airport got approved. The project includes the expansion of the airport’s terminal building arrival and pre-departure area and the improvement of basic facilities. There will be an upgrade on the water supply facilities, navigational aids, and other various support facilities, including its power plant.

The improvement is most likely to be noticeable from the new look of the airport. Taking inspiration from its famous Tuna products, the updated exterior design of the said airport is like that of a Tuna fin- the city’s famous sashimi-grade tuna product. Truly, this is something that represents the City!

Upgrading General Santos’ international airport is expected to improve the tourism of the city. Its polished facilities can now cater to more tourists and give them a better traveling experience to the city. With the upgrade, the primary goal of encouraging and bringing in more tourists and investors to the city are foreseeable and are expected to be attained. Opening the airport’s GenSan-Clark route, tourism potentials of the South Cotabato, Cotabato City, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, and General Santos City (Soccsksargen) region increased. To see the improvement of the airport alone is something to look forward to, how much more for its tourist destinations.

Projected to become the next medical and tourism hub in South Cotabato, General Santos has more to give to its people in terms of opportunities and quality of life, especially in the healthcare aspect. Coupled with the ongoing projects and developments in General Santos, large companies increased their business presence in the city. Real estate is one of the prosperous ventures. Even amidst the pandemic, many locals leaped their investments in real estate as the government commits to push through its infrastructure projects despite the continuing pandemic.

Investing in real estate makes a wise choice. It is an investment that will surely grow over time as the value of the property grows too. For instance, real estate makes a self-sustaining income when used for rental business. Paying the property’s monthly amortization can be covered by its monthly earnings from the rental.

Searching for the right real estate property to invest in can be challenging. However, this is not the case for the locals of GenSan- the generals. With the existing Lessandra community in Gensan, the search for quality and affordable house and lot is over. Lessandra General Santos subdivision gives its homeowners maximum convenience as it is accessible to all the daily necessities.  Strategically located at Conel Road Barangay San Isidro, the subdivision is just a few minutes away from other establishments like schools, hospitals, supermarkets, and the airport.

In a nutshell, General Santos City is the next Metro City in the Soccsksargen region. Its developments will surely give tourists and locals from neighboring cities interest in investing in the city. More importantly, these developments give the locals investment opportunities right in their own hometown.
