For the five children of the late Overseas Filipino Baby Jane Allas, Christmas arrived early with something meant to endure well beyond the holidays: a permanent place to call their own.

Camella provided the Allas siblings and their grandmother with a house and lot in Camella Palawan. Vista Land Chairman Manny B. Villar personally handed over the keys, giving them a hometown residence to stay close, study, and move forward—bringing Baby Jane’s sacrifices full circle.

A sacrifice shaped by motherhood

Baby Jane worked as an Overseas Filipino in Hong Kong until February 2019, when a stage-three cervical cancer diagnosis at age 38 led to her immediate dismissal. Her job loss highlighted the health and financial vulnerabilities confronting migrant workers abroad. Supported by advocates and migrant groups, she pursued legal remedies while undergoing treatment.

She overcame cancer and returned to the Philippines in 2020 to care for her dependents. However, in March 2021, she passed away from kidney infection complications, leaving behind five children who inspired her years of sacrifice.

A legacy beyond her lifetime

Baby Jane’s death did not end the legal action. The Hong Kong Equal Opportunities Commission pursued a disability discrimination case against her former employer, which her sister, Mary Ann Allas Pereira, continued as estate administrator.

In 2026, the long-standing battle concluded, highlighting employment rights and a mother’s determination to secure her family’s prospects. This legacy now takes on a new form in their hometown.

An early Christmas homecoming

Camella Palawan gave the family a forever home, building daily continuity and a place to celebrate future milestones. Opening these doors marks a deeply meaningful transition: a mother’s journey that began by leaving her hometown so her children could thrive now returns to where that hope first began.

For Camella, this milestone reflects a profound understanding of homeownership as far more than physical shelter. It brings permanence amid changing circumstances, giving younger generations room to grow while establishing a solid foundation for shared milestones.

A neighborhood for what comes next

Camella Palawan extends a warm welcome through a well-planned community shaped around Filipino family life. Its landscaped surroundings, recreation amenities, and thoughtful layouts help households balance privacy with connection.

For the Allas family, these features frame an address carrying deep significance. Years after Baby Jane left Palawan to build better possibilities for her children, her family enters the Christmas season with a home where those hopes can continue.

In Camella Palawan, a mother’s dream moves forward through the family she devoted her life to, finding form in lifelong belonging, stronger beginnings, and brighter tomorrows.
