Iloilo's progress can increasingly be measured in numbers, networks, and new possibilities.
Iloilo's progress can increasingly be measured in numbers, networks, and new possibilities.

Iloilo province generated PHP 218.9 billion, while Iloilo City’s economy expanded 7.1 percent to PHP 171.6 billion, making it Western Visayas’ fastest-growing area and contributing 60.8 percent to the regional economy.

Services anchor this momentum at 88.3 percent of the city’s economy, with business-oriented sectors expanding rapidly by 14.6 percent. In the province, accommodation and dining grew 15.2 percent, reflecting increased commercial movement. Notably, Iloilo City welcomed over one million visitors, generating an estimated PHP 9.4 billion in tourism revenues and cementing its position as a principal engine of national growth.

Progress takes its place

The 2024 Census recorded 2.1 million residents in Iloilo province—the largest in Western Visayas—with Iloilo City hosting 473,728 residents. Infrastructure has rapidly advanced alongside this demographic growth. Milestones like the Iloilo Business Park, Convention Center, 9.1-kilometer River Esplanade, and runway expansions at the Iloilo International Airport have altered the region’s commercial rhythm.

These transport networks and business districts have brought distant locations closer, broadening local employment, retail, tourism, and healthcare possibilities across urban areas and adjacent municipalities.

Throughout those years of transformation, Savannah by Camella has grown with Iloilo.

A site where stories begin

Savannah by Camella is a Spanish Mediterranean-inspired development within Georgia by Vista Estates—a master planned township spanning Oton, Pavia, and San Miguel. The multi-awarded estate reflects Iloilo’s evolution into an integrated lifestyle destination.

Savannah offers greenways, lifestyle amenities, and premium house-and-lot properties. Its enclaves, The Grove and The Orchard, balance active and laid-back lifestyles. Growing alongside Iloilo, Savannah sustains the multigenerational comfort, security, and infrastructure that empower families to build lasting legacies across generations.

Honoring hearts, home, and heritage

The story of this Camella community stepped into another season with Savannah at 26: Honoring Hearts, Home, and Heritage, a month-long commemoration of the relationships and traditions nurtured through nearly three decades.

The events opened with the Caravan Kick Off, followed by Laspaganay sa Savannah in partnership with Siklos, bringing cyclists together for a long-distance ride through the community.

A Pop-Up Market and Food Truck Assembly brought local finds and flavors to the festivities, as Pushbike sa Savannah, in collaboration with West Visayas Push Bike Racing Philippines, gave young riders opportunities to build balance, confidence, and coordination through friendly competition.

A Pawsome Weekend with Gabasa K9, complemented by the launch of the Savannah Paw Park, offered an engaging setting for pets, play, and everyday interaction. The Pickleball Clinic and Mini Fun Tournament, sponsored by Sinadya Pickleball Club, introduced participants to the sport.

Faith and fellowship found expression through the Feast of Saint Pio, while Fiesta sa Savannah and Zumba Ta sa Savannah with Glam ‘N’ Whirl filled the occasion with fitness, familiar faces, and festive energy.

These experiences gave fuller meaning to hearts, home, and heritage: hearts honor the bonds built within and beyond each household, home recognizes the place where rhythms become recollections, and heritage celebrates the values Ilonggo families carry forward across generations.

The Philippines’ largest homebuilder

Vista Land solidified its industry standing with multiple distinctions at the recent Dot Property and Lamudi Philippines Real Estate Awards 2026, with its flagship brand, Camella, named Best Housing Developer in Visayas and Mindanao.

Camella has delivered over 600,000 homes across 49 provinces and 147 key cities and municipalities. It places family and community life at the center for the upper- to middle-income segment—creating a legacy of value for generations of Filipinos.
